Yoga helps to promote harmony, balance, strength, and flexibility. Allowing to bring peace and calmness within and around us. It helps us to connect our mind, body, and spirit allowing us to breath in a deeper way and feel more connected to ourselves and those we come in contact with. It strengthens us physically allowing us to be stronger more flexible and align ourselves. It is more than just exercise. Yoga helps bring balance, awareness, focus, and build strength in mind and body. It helps mind and body let go and relax, finding yourself able to do things that you didn’t think possible. It has become a practice that health care professionals are recommending for many people and many different situations and conditions. It can be very gentle and also challenging depending on what you are looking for and what your body is capable of doing.
Available Classes
Gentle Yoga: Gentle yoga is an infusion of mind, body, and breath connections. We begin with grounding and connecting to breath, gentle warmups, stretching, sequences of postures and poses, and ending with relaxation. Bringing flexibility, strength, and balance to mind and body. Reconnect with yourself. Good for all levels of yoga abilities, the beginner as well as the seasoned yoga practice looking for calmness and refocus.
Vinyasa Flow: Steady, flowing sequences of postures and poses, connecting with breath. Being aware of each movement and flow. Staying connected to mind, body, and breath. As we breath with each posture or pose it allows muscles to stretch in a deeper way and strengthen. Staying focused and mindful.
Yoga Flow: This class flows and builds on multiple styles of yoga utilizing strength postures, challenges, deep stretching, pranayama and energy meditation. Our instructors que modifications for every level. All levels welcomed beginners and the most seasoned yoga practice. 60 minutes
Power Yoga Flow: Is sequences of yoga postures and poses done a faster pace. You will sweat. Fast pace and fun.
Restorative Yoga: Restorative yoga is good for all levels of yoga abilities. Restorative yoga is a gentle practice that holds yoga poses and postures for longer periods of time using props such as bolsters, blankets, and yoga blocks. It begins with a short warm up and then moves into the poses. It is a practice of deep relaxation uniting mind and body emphasizing on the meditative characteristics of yoga. Using props to support, the postures are held almost without effort.
Classes are queued for all levels. Always listen to your body and never overdo it. Terésa Essentials, Core Yoga & More highly recommends that pregnant women and anyone with health issues consult with their health care professional before participating in any class. Anyone under the age of 18 must have consent from parent or guardian.
Yoga Class Etiquette:
- Try to come to class 10 minutes early, to get water, go to the restroom, set up mat, and be prepared for class.
- Coming early to class gives you an opportunity to ask the instructor any questions you might have. It also gives you a chance to quiet your mind to center and focus on the class, so that you can get the most from your experience.
- Leave cell phone in car or silence your phone and leave it with your personal belongings so it won’t disturb other class members.
- Take shoes off after entering studio.
- All members must wear shirts and appropriate work out clothing.
